You are a monumental failure, You won’t be president again – Akufo-Addo jabs John Mahama

Former President John Dramani Mahama has been disgraced by comments he made about the NPP and its flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

These were the words of President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo when he addressed the unveiling rally of the NPP presidential running mate, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh at the Jubilee Park in Kumasi on Tuesday.

Mahama Can’t Lead
Giving details, President Akufo-Addo mentioned a statement made by Mr Mahama that no one from the north can ever lead the NPP, adding, “Now he has been proved wrong.”

Besides, the President said the same man who opposed free SHS is now saying he brought the policy. “Somebody who said if he had GHc2 billion he will not invest in free SHS. He said Ghanaians easily forgets so he can lie,” he said.

President Akufo-Addo told the milling crowd: “ He has been disgraced, and he will continue to be disgraced.”

He added: “We won’t consider him for the presidency, either today or tomorrow.

Bawumia is best
As his tenure inches closer, the President said, “the man to take over from me as President is Bawumia.“

He added: “Dr Bawumia and Napo are the men to take Ghana to another level. Let’s bury all differences and unite behind Bawumia and Napo .”
