Change your voting pattern – Bawumia to Asunafo South constituents
Flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has urged voters in Asunafo South to adopt a unified voting approach rather than the traditional skirt-and-blouse method.
While the NPP has consistently secured victories in presidential elections within the constituency, it has struggled to win the parliamentary seat, which is currently held by the NDC’s Eric Opoku.
During his engagement with stakeholders at Sankore, Dr. Bawumia emphasized that if elected, the NPP parliamentary candidate, Francis Aduse Opoku, would play a vital role in his government.
“Vote for me because I will improve your lives. Everybody knows that in Asunafo South, you always vote for NPP in the presidential election but you don’t vote for us in the parliamentary election. But I want you to change that in 2024, stop voting skirt-and-blouse and vote straight for us in the both presidential and parliamentary elections.
“I want the people of Sankore to start changing that pattern and vote for Adusei so that I can add him in my next government. Don’t disappoint us this year we are both number 1.”
As part of his campaign efforts in the Ahafo region, Dr. Bawumia is scheduled to visit three constituencies: Asunafo South, Asunafo North, and Asutifi South, on Thursday.
His itinerary includes meetings with chiefs, business leaders, and party supporters to promote his vision and rally support for the upcoming elections.
Ahead of the visit, some residents of Norbekoi in the Asunafo South constituency endorsed the New Patriotic Party adding that they will continuously vote for the party.
