Afia Schwarzenegger apologises to court

Socialite, Valentina Nana Agyeiwaa alias Afia Schwarzenegger was sentenced to 10 days imprisonment and a fine equivalent to GH$60,000 for contempt by the Tema High Court B on Thursday, December 1, 2022.

This was after she disregarded a restraining order from the Court to talk extensively about allegedly having a love affair with the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party, Bernard Antwi Bosiako popularly known as Chairman Wontumi on UTV’s United Showbiz.

Days after the judgment, Afia Schwarzenegger in an Instagram post rendered an apology to the Court.

According to her statement, after some sober reflection, she realized that her comments on the matter on the show had “the tendency of bringing the authority of the Court into question”

“I will always endeavor, to conduct my affairs in a manner that will not cause public disaffection nor seek to undermine the courts of our land. As I said on that fateful day, I respect our courts and their authority” she added.

She also advised the public to learn from her mistake.

“I urge my fans, followers, and sympathizers to learn the eight lessons from what has transpired”, she apologized.
