Shatta Wale expresses gratitude to EOCO and supporters after release in Lamborghini investigation

Dancehall artiste Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale, has expressed deep gratitude to his fans, management team, and the Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO) following his release from custody on Thursday, August 21, 2025.
Shatta Wale was released after meeting revised bail conditions, which saw the initial GH₵10 million bail reduced to GH₵5 million with two sureties. He is now required to report to EOCO three times a week as investigations continue into the alleged questionable acquisition of a Lamborghini Urus.
In a heartfelt message, Shatta Wale thanked everyone who supported him during the ordeal.
“I want to say thank you to my management team… Everybody has been supportive with this and to you the fans, I owe you a beautiful concert one of these days because you guys have been supportive,” he said in a live video sighted by Citi News on Instagram.
He also acknowledged the commitment of fans who stood by him outside EOCO’s premises.
“I heard some of you came there from morning and you didn’t want to leave but as you have seen my video you should know Shatta is safe, your king is safe, One Don is safe. I am home now and I want to say a big thank you for supporting me, for being around me in times like this because I needed you guys the most. You guys are the ones that hold me down,” he added.
The musician further extended his appreciation to EOCO staff for their professionalism throughout the process.
“To all the staff of EOCO, you guys have been wonderful. At least I came there, you guys really took me through the rightful processes that were needed and I just want to say God bless you,” he said.
He also singled out EOCO’s Executive Director, Mr. Raymond Archer, for his role in handling the matter with understanding and fairness.
“To Mr. Raymond Archer, I just want to tell you I thank you so much for your understanding. I thank you so much for cooperating.”
