NPP directs members to cease media discussions causing disaffection

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has issued a directive to all its members to stop discussing internal party matters in the media that create unrest and disaffection. This comes in the wake of the party’s defeat in the recent elections, which has caused disappointment and emotional distress among members.
In a statement released on March 20, 2025, by General Secretary Justin Kodua Frimpong, the party urged members to remain calm and avoid public expressions of anger or frustration. The directive references Article 10(7)(5) of the NPP Constitution, which mandates the coordination of party activities, and Article 3(5), which calls for the promotion and defense of the party’s reputation.
The NPP warned that any member violating this directive will be referred to the appropriate disciplinary committees at the national, regional, or constituency level. The party emphasized the need to uphold its values and work together to rebuild a stronger future.
