Alcoholic Mahama Goes Mad Again As He Shouts “Stupid”
NDC presidential candidate, John Mahama, has once again demonstrated why many believe alcoholism is eating him up.
Campaigning in Savelugu in the Northern Region on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, the former President went extremely low using the word “stupid”.
The development has caused him to receive backlash from many Ghanaians on social media.
“It’s the economy, stupid,” the desperate NDC presidential candidate said to the shock of many people who listened to him.
Alcohol addiction
The former President has on many occasions been accused by people both within and outside his party of alcohol addiction, which has affected his behaviour.
In the build up to the NDC’s presidential primaries for instance, the Ghana Report published a story citing a leaked petition from the camp of Dr Kwabena Duffour , which called on NDC party faithful to reject Mahama because of his addiction to alcohol.
According to the story, the petition, addressed to the NDC General Secretary, said: “The current times in which we are requires that we do not elect a flagbearer with serious alcohol addiction issues. We need a flagbearer who will be sober enough to tackle the challenges that we face as a country”.
Attack on Ga people
The latest madness from John Mahama cames days after some Ga Dangbe youth bared their teeth at him for making some unsavoury comments about the Ga people.
At a political event, Mahama was reported to have stated that, the Ga people are interested in kenkey, fish and pepper more than Dr Bawumia’s digitalization.
Dead goat
As President in 2015, Mahama again showed the alcoholism in him when he told the Ghanaian community in Botswana where he was on a three-day official visit that he had become “a dead goat” and therefore he no more feared demonstrations and complains from Ghanaians about the hard economy he was presiding over.
Bawumia link
Discerning Ghanaians have linked Mahama’s latest outburst to the 50 questions Dr Bawumia asked him. Dr Bawumia also asked him to be a man to come forward for a debate.
