Ashanti NPP Elections: COKA Visits Kokofu Hours After Landslide Victory in Show of Unity

Less than 24 hours after securing a decisive win as Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, Odeneho Kwaku Appiah popularly known as COKA, visited the residence of his defeated opponent, Dr. Henry Kwabena Kokofu, in Kumasi on Sunday. Accompanied by constituency chairmen, COKA extended an olive branch in a symbolic gesture of reconciliation and party unity.

Kokofu’s assurance
In a brief address, Dr. Kokofu expressed gratitude for the visit and pledged his full support to COKA, vowing to work together to secure victory for the party in the 2028 general elections.

Landslide mandate
COKA won Saturday’s election with a commanding 658 votes against Kokofu’s 269, a wide margin that gives him a strong mandate in the NPP’s traditional stronghold.

As regional chairman, he now faces the critical task of ensuring unity, grassroots mobilisation, and effective coordination across the Ashanti Region ahead of the next national polls.
