Otumfuo Back From UK To Tumultuous Welcome
Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, arrived back home yesterday, August 6, from the United Kingdom (UK) to a tumultuous welcome.
The aircraft that carried the King from London flew directly to the Prempeh I International Airport in Kumasi where he was met by traditional authorities in Asanteman, political leaders, security chiefs and other members of the public.
There was excitement at the Airport as the King descended from the aircraft. Crowds waved the Asante flag amidst drumming and dancing. His Majesty left Ghana on Saturday, July 13, 2024.
