NPP QUASHES KWABENA AGYAPONG’S SUSPENSION

The National Executive Committee [NEC] of the ruling New Patriotic Party [NPP] has waved an indefinite suspension hounded a former General Secretary of the party, Kwabena Agyei Agyepong.
Mr. Agyapong and and a former 2nd Vice Chairman, Sammy Crabbe were indefinitely suspended by the party on December 10, 2015 for publicly rebelling against the party’s decision to indefinitely suspend the then National Chairman of the NPP, Paul Afoko.

Unlike Afoko and Crabbe who challenged their lawful suspension in court, Agyapong kept his cool and rallied behind the party. He was on a number of occasions seen at party functions including Annual Delegates Conferences. He was very instrumental in the campaign of president Akufo-Addo in the heat up to the December 7, 2020 election.

He holds a BSc Degree in Civil Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. He’s an Engineer by profession and a “journalist by default”; for a long period of time, he hosted sports programmes on GTV.
