A LETTER TO THE CHIEF JUSTICE TO SUBPOENA MUNTAKA TO SUBSTANTIATE HIS ALLEGATIONS WITH INCONTROVERTIBLE FACTS!

Dear Chief Justice,

It would be a travesty of justice not to subpoena Mubarak Muntaka, the Minority Chief Whip to substantiate the wild but attempted bribery allegations he claims one of the Justices of the Supreme Court engaged in prior to the selection of the Speaker of Parliament.

Muntaka has alleged that a female Member of Parliament of the NDC was called by a Supreme Court Justice to induce her with cash and other juicy items in order to vote for former Speaker Mike Aaron Oquaye.

Sir, Muntaka and his cohorts have developed the affinity of making allegations against people in this country without buttressing same with evidence. He has escaped unscathed from these events just because those he slighted chose not to pursue those matters further.

It has become a hobby for this MP to peddle falsehoods against people in the Executive and Legislative arms of Government, thereby denting the image of these two strategic entities.

In order not to allow this allegation to fester in the minds of Ghanaians that this claim holds an iota of fact therein, I plead with you to summon Muntaka to give meat to his claim with evidence.

It is only by concretizing this assertion with incontrovertible evidence or otherwise that can disabuse the minds of Ghanaians from the allegations of attempted bribery by Muntaka Mubarak.

If this matter is not dealt with with alacritous urgency, Muntaka and the entire propaganda machinery of the opposition National Democratic Congress would succeed in sullying the reputation of the Supreme Court.

I am more than hopeful that you would not allow this matter to be swept under the carpet as anything short of dealing with Muntaka would prove disastrous for the outfit you head. Thank you!
