NPP’s Return to Power in 2028 Depends on Grassroots Coordination – Afenyo-Markin

Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has charged newly elected regional executives of the NPP to prioritize grassroots strength and internal unity, stressing that these elements are non-negotiable for the party’s return to power in 2028.

He made these remarks during an orientation session for Regional Organisers, Women Organisers, Youth Organisers, and Nasara Organisers. Afenyo-Markin emphasized that these four groups are central to the party’s mobilisation and engagement efforts nationwide, and called for a firm, coordinated approach from the ground up.

In a Facebook post, he outlined the path ahead, urging executives to strengthen coordination, deepen unity, and reconnect with supporters across every region and constituency.

“Yesterday, I joined our newly elected Regional Organisers, Regional Women Organisers, Regional Youth Organisers and Regional Nasara Organisers for an orientation session as we continue the work of reorganising and strengthening our Party. Our return to power will require a strong, united and well-coordinated Party, built from the grassroots up. These four groups occupy a critical place in that effort. They are at the heart of our organisation, mobilisation and engagement across the country. The task ahead is clear. We must strengthen coordination, deepen unity, reconnect with our grassroots and organise effectively in every region and constituency to secure victory for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia and the NPP in 2028.”
