US Embassy in Ghana announces 2,000 new non-immigrant visa appointment slots

The U.S. Embassy Ghana has announced the availability of more than 2,000 non-immigrant visa appointment slots over the next two weeks for B1/B2 applicants.

According to the Embassy, the additional slots are intended to support travellers planning business trips, family visits, tourism and other short-term travel to the United States — including those hoping to attend upcoming global sporting events.

The Embassy is encouraging applicants who already have visa interview appointments scheduled for later in the year to check the system and reschedule to an earlier date if suitable slots are available.

B1/B2 visas are issued for temporary travel, covering business-related visits (B1) and tourism or family visits (B2).

Officials say applicants should visit the Embassy’s official visa information page for details on booking and rescheduling procedures https://gh.usembassy.gov/visas/

The announcement forms part of efforts to improve access to visa services and reduce waiting times for applicants in Ghana.
