CAF, PUMA Reveal “ITRI” as Official Ball for Morocco’s AFCON 2025

The Confederation of African Football (CAF), in partnership with global sports brand PUMA, has unveiled the official match ball for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Morocco 2025, named ITRI.

The ball draws inspiration from Morocco’s traditional zellij art, known for its intricate geometric mosaics, symbolising unity and the passion of African football. Its name pays homage to the star on Morocco’s flag, reflecting the nation’s identity and the craftsmanship that defines zellij design.

The ITRI ball features patterns of star geometry, floral petals, and circular symmetry, each representing ambition, celebration, and unity among the 24 competing nations. Its red and green colour scheme mirrors Morocco’s national colours, while the “Flow of Movement” design captures the rhythm and creativity of African football.

Built with PUMA’s Orbita 6 technology, the ball combines heritage with high-performance innovation, ensuring precision and consistency at the elite level. Mohamed Ghonemi, CAF’s Creative Development Manager, described it as a blend of “art, motion, and African spirit.”

The ball will make its debut in the tournament’s opening game on 21 December 2025, with PUMA confirming that it will retail for €130 in selected markets across Africa and beyond.
