Kumasi Highway Collision: Four in Critical Condition After Severe Accident

Four individuals have been critically injured following a devastating road crash involving a commercial Urvan bus and a school bus at Dichemso Plaza, within the Kumasi Metropolis of the Ashanti Region.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Wednesday, September 17, when the Commercial Urvan bus, carrying 15 nursing students, collided with a school bus.

Fortunately, there were no students on board the school bus at the time of the accident.

According to eyewitnesses, the impact of the collision was severe, leaving four nursing students critically injured.

Three of the victims reportedly lost consciousness due to the extent of their injuries. All four were rushed to the hospital for urgent medical attention.

Some eyewitnesses who spoke to Citi News blamed the driver of the Commercial Urvan bus, alleging that excessive speeding contributed to the crash.

“The driver of the commercial Urvan bus was overspeeding and should be blamed for the accident,” an eyewitness said.

Another eyewitness added, “The responsibility lies with the commercial Urvan bus driver.”
