Sefa Kayi Returns Monday

Renowned broadcaster Kwami Sefa Kayi will return as host of Peace FM’s Kokrokoo morning show on Monday, July 14.

The announcement was made by the programnes’s stand-in host, Nana Yaw Kesse, on Monday.
Sefa Kayi has been absent from the show for nearly seven months, fueling speculation that he was leaving Peace FM.

NDC boycott
Last year, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) boycotted Kokrokoo, accusing the host of bias in panel selections that allegedly favoured the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

After the December 7, 2024 elections, Sefa Kayi went off the air amid reports that Peace FM’s management was under pressure from the NDC to remove him before the party would return to the programme.

Although Sefa Kayi publicly denied rumours that he was being forced out or had resigned, his prolonged absence kept tongues wagging.
