U-20 AFCON: Black Satellites Reach Ismailia for Pivotal Group C Clash with Central African Republic

Ghana’s U20 national team, the Black Satellites, have arrived in the city of Ismailia ahead of their final Group C match against the Central African Republic (CAR) in the ongoing 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
The much-awaited game is scheduled for Thursday afternoon at the Suez Canal Stadium, and it will be a make-or-break moment in the group’s qualification battle.
Having answered the morale-boosting 1-0 win over defending champions Senegal in their second game, the Black Satellites feel confident.
The team is currently a joint leader of Group C with DR Congo, having taken four points from two games.
A win over CAR would not only ensure qualification to the knockouts but also signal Ghana’s return to continental relevance.
Technical personnel under coach Desmond Ofei have also placed additional emphasis on recovery and tactics adjustment upon arrival in Ismailia.
Training will be light upon arrival, and the game intensity will come in with full sessions on the agenda for the following day.
Momentum in their favour, Black Satellites look to close out the group stage in style and go all the way for a fourth U-20 AFCON title and also secure a place in the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile.
