Disregard false statement attributed to NAPO on illegal mining — Spokesperson
The Office of Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh has dismissed reports in a section of the media that seek to fault the NPP running mate over a statement he made regarding illegal mining, popularly known as galamsey.
The reports alleged that Dr Prempeh, a.k.a. Napo has promised that the NPP under Dr Bawumia will return all seized excavators to their owners.
A statement issued by Dr Prempeh’s office on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 and signed by the spokesperson of the running mate, Fiifi Boafo, noted with concern, the distortions put on Napo’s statement by the media, adding “the statement attributed to him is false”.
