NAPO questions NDC’s feasibility of 24-hour economy

The running mate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Dr Mathew Opoku Prempeh, has taken a swipe at the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and its Presidential Candidate, John Dramani Mahama, questioning their competence to roll out a 24-hour economy.

Addressing party supporters at Akumsa Domase in the Nkoranza South Constituency of the Bono East Region, Dr Opoku Prempeh questioned the practicality of the decision by John Mahama to let nightclubs operate 24 hours a day when he becomes president.

“The NPP is the best government, students nowadays don’t pay fees or utilities, and we have electricity in abundance to the extent that someone is promising to run a disco with it.

“We will not use electricity to run a disco, we will create jobs so that all Ghanaians will benefit.

“When we asked for jobs from the former President, he told us he was not a magician, when we asked for a stable power supply, he told us to turn off our phones. He also told us he was a dead goat, nobody consumes carcass.”
