Embrace entrepreneurship — Energy Minister urges youth
Energy Minister, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh has encouraged the youth to embrace entrepreneurship since it offers innovative solutions for economic growth among young people.
He pointed out that in today’s fast-paced and ever-changing world, young people must be equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to tackle complex challenges, and drive innovation.
He stated this when he addressed a gathering of young people at a conference organised by the Centre for Leadership and Organisational Effectiveness of the University at Buffalo in partnership with the All-Africa Students Union, and the Emerge Africa, on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 in Accra.
The conference sought to put the spotlight on innovation, entrepreneurship and leadership in the youthful context.
Advancement
According to the minister, encouraging entrepreneurship among the youth will lead to significant advancements in various sectors, including leadership, research and technology.
Fostering a supportive environment for young entrepreneurs, he added, will not only help them develop innovative ideas but also contribute to solving the world’s most pressing issues. “I am always excited to honour these youthful invitations; an opportunity to impart young minds, the men and women who in a few years will be taking over from us, leading the charge of building an Africa of opportunities and hope,” he stated.
