His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II will attend the Black Stars’ opening Group L World Cup match against Panama on June 17 at Toronto’s 45,736-capacity BMO Field.

Before the game, the Asantehene will visit the team’s camp to inspire them ahead of this crucial fixture.

A statement from the Manhyia Palace on June 2 said, Otumfuo will travel to Canada to begin a four-day visit to Canada on June 14, purposely to honour the Ghana-Canada World Cup Business Summit.

As part of the visit, Otumfuo will hold a Breakfast Business Meeting, take part in the opening of the Ghana Sports Village, also known as Sankofa Square, engage with the Black Stars, and lead the Ghanaian delegation to support the Black Stars against Panama.

His Majesty will end his visit to Canada on June 20, 2026. Otumfuo is currently in Washington, USA, on some other important engagements after completing his official visit to Poland.
