Wow! Is This Kpando, I thought I was in Bantama; Bawumia responds to massive welcome in Volta Region

“Is this Kpando. Wow. I thought I was in Bantama. This is fantastic, this shows it is possible”. These were the words of NPP presidential candidate, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia when he campaigned in Kpando yesterday at the start of his Volta Regional tour.

It was indeed a massive attendance, and the NPP leader believed for the first time, the party is poised to win the constituency which has long been held by the NDC.

Dr Mahamadu Bawumia was in the NDC’s stronghold of Volta Region yesterday to campaign and the first day , which witnessed huge crowds at various engagements, could send shivers down the spines of the main opposition party.

The NPP presidential candidate also had engagements in the North Dayi constituencyand Kpando constituencies.

Possibilities
Stating that the NPP has not won Kpando before, Dr Bawumia said, “We are now coming to take it.”
“By the grace of God, Antoinette Eklu [NPP parliamentary candidate] will be the next MP,” he said to thunderous cheers from the crowd.

He said while the NPP believe in possibilities, the NDC rather swim in impossibilities. “When we came with national health insurance, they said it was not possible but we said it is possible and it became possible. We brought free senior high school education, they said it was not possible, they said it was 419, but we said it was possible and we have done it,” he said.

He further stated: “By next month, Ghana will be the second country in Africa to implement a credit score system.”

Jobs
Touching on jobs, Dr Bawumia said, “The youth need jobs, and I am going to give 1 million youth digital skills and I am sure 5,000 will come from Kpando. “Even if you’re a school drop out we can give you digital skills . You will stay in Kpando and work in America, Germany, Japan with your digital skills.”

He said he will introduce a new policy to bring down the cost of electricity when elected as President.
