VIDEO: NAPO, Wontumi unite for NPP victory in 2024
A video circulating on social media suggests that the supposed rift between Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh popularly known as Napo and the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako aka Chairman Wontumi has been settled .
In the video, the two political heavyweights in the Ashanti Region are seen hugging each at the Kumasi Airport where they welcomed the NPP flag bearer Dr Mahamudu Bawumia on Thursday for the one week funeral observance of the late Dr John Kumah.
As they hugged each other, the two share smiles, in a sign of unity and togetherness.
A voice behind the video said “so reconciliation at last” while the two men laugh heartily.
The NPP is hoping to win the 2024 elections. They are of the view that peace, unity and hard work within the period before elections will help make the political party win the election.
Dr Bawumia is yet to announce his running mate for the 2024 elections.
