This is a step towards breaking the 8 – Bawumia declares after coming first in Super Delegates Conference
After his big victory in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Super Delegates Conference on Saturday, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia declared that the ultimate focus is winning the 2024 General Elections.
“This will require a lot of unity amongst ourselves and amongst all the flagbearer hopefuls. It is very important that as we go on this journey towards December 2024, we don’t have cracks in our ranks. “We have to all work together and not destroy this very important unity that we have,”he said.
Speaking to journalists at his residence just after the Electoral Commission declared the results of the polls, which he won, Dr. Bawumia said, “The main event for all of us in the party is December 2024. As we all work together in this party going through these processes, we all have to keep in mind that what we are all working towards is a win in December 2024 for the NPP, therefore to break the eight in 2024. This will require a lot of unity among ourselves as a party.”
