Rihanna Shines at Met Gala, Revealing Third Pregnancy

Music icon and fashion mogul Rihanna made a grand entrance at this year’s Met Gala by confirming she is expecting her third child with rapper A$AP Rocky.
The 37-year-old, known for her bold statements both musically and stylistically, arrived last on the carpet—gracefully cradling her baby bump and beaming with joy as photographers captured the moment. This year’s carpet, a navy path decorated with daffodils, provided the perfect backdrop for the intimate reveal.
Rihanna, born Robyn Fenty, and A$AP Rocky, real name Rakim Mayers, are already parents to two young boys. Their first son, RZA, was born in May 2022, followed by their second son, Riot, in August 2023.
A$AP Rocky, who served as one of the co-chairs of the night, didn’t hold back his excitement.
“Thank you, thank you, thank you,” he responded as well-wishers congratulated them on the carpet. “I’m glad everybody’s happy for us because we’re definitely happy,” he added with a wide smile.
The rapper also playfully remarked, “It is time to just show the people what we were cooking up,” as he joined Rihanna for the public reveal.
The Met Gala, which doubles as a fundraiser for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute, spotlighted the theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”—a rare focus on menswear and Black fashion creativity. As always, Rihanna and Rocky lived up to the night’s reputation for iconic fashion moments.
The couple’s history of unique and memorable pregnancy announcements continues with this Met Gala moment. Rihanna first made headlines with her debut pregnancy reveal in Harlem through a styled photoshoot in 2022. Then, in 2023, she used the Super Bowl halftime stage to unveil her second pregnancy—becoming the first performer to headline the event while visibly pregnant.
