Mr Eazi is buying African music catalogues

Afrobeats star and entrepreneur Mr Eazi has announced his interest in acquiring African music catalogues.

The emPawa Music founder disclosed his plans in a post on X, inviting rights holders with proof of ownership and at least three years of earnings history to reach out if they wish to sell part of their catalogue.

“Btw I’m buying catalogues so if you got African music catalogue that you own ( with proof ) and you have 3year earnings history and you wanna sell a piece contact @emPawaAfrica” he shared.

His move comes at a time when several Ghanaian artists have made headlines for selling their catalogues to foreign companies, sparking conversations about ownership and long-term value.

Netizens have since reacted to his post, with some tagging Ghanaian artists they believe could be interested.
