Great Olympics appoint Bismark Mensah as head coach
The management of Accra Great Olympics has appointed Bismark Kobby Mensah, 24 hours after parting ways with Yaw Preko after a string of poor results.
Kobby Mensah, a former head coach of Karela United, signed a three-year contract with Olympics yesterday and would be expected to revive the fortunes of the Wonder Club, who are 10th on the betPawa Premier League log with 23 points at the end of the first round.
The new coach faces his first test on Sunday when he will lead Olympics away to Bechem United who are unbeaten at the Nana Fosu Gyeabour Park in the last five matches.
Mensah was an assistant coach for the home-based senior national team, Black Galaxies, at the recent African Nations Championship in Algeria.
He resigned from Karela in December to take up the national team job.
