#GhVetting: Ministers-designate for Sanitation and Transport face vetting today
The Appointments Committee of Parliament will later today, February 22, 2021, resume hearings for the nominees of the President for various ministerial roles. Appearing before the Appointments Committee today, February 22, 2021, will be the minister designate for Transport Hon. Kwaku Ofori Asiamah and Hon. Cecilia Abena Dapaah the minister-designate for sanitation.
The two nominees held these same portfolios in the first Akufo-Addo administration and are expected to continue in the same capacity if approved. Among many things, Mr. Asiamah is expected to be questioned on the controversial Frontier Healthcare Services contract after five previous nominees said they had no details on the controversial arrangement.
On Tuesday, three appointees are scheduled to face the committee; Joseph Cudjoe, the Minister-designate for Public Enterprises, Works and Housing Minister of State-designate, Freda Prempeh and Samuel Abdulai Jinapor, Minister-designate for Lands and Natural Resources.
