December 7 Elections Will Be Like A Movie To NDC – Bawumia Vows In USA

The December 7 elections will be like a movie to the National Democratic Congress (NDC), the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, has said.

Laughing off the behaviour of the NDC as if they have already won the elections, Dr. Bawumia said, “In fact, they are thinking, if you listen to them, that they have already won the elections. That is the noise they have been making.”

But he questioned what has made them so confident.

“Is it their record in government when they were in government? Is it their performance or vision? So where are they going to pass? As I say, it will be like a movie to them,” the NPP flagbearer asserted.

Anniversary
Vice President Bawumia said this when he joined executives of NPP-USA branch and dignitaries, including some NPP national executives and senior government officials, for the 30th anniversary celebration of the branch in Washington on Saturday, May 25.

The anniversary was on the theme: “30 Years of Political Dedication and Sacrifice: Honouring our Heroes, Preserving our Legacy, Securing our Future through Victory.”

Challenge
Dr.Bawumia challenged the NDC to justify their belief of victory in the elections. He queried: “Where are they going to pass to win this election, and on what basis are they even going to claim that they have a chance?”
He said the NDC’s record in government does not support their confidence of victory.

Breaking the 8
Rather, Dr. Bawumia stated that the NPP has a strong case to ask Ghanaians to retain it in office. He explained that the NPP has outclassed the NDC in all spheres of governance.

Congrats
He congratulated the branch’s founders for their bold initiative, as well as to all those who have played diverse roles in the success of NPP USA, which now has 27 active chapters across the USA. “The continuous support of NPP-USA, and all other external branches, will even be more crucial as we seek to break the 8 and continue with our transformational vision for Ghana in the 4th Industrial Revolution,” the NPP flagbearer stated.

Support campaign
The General Secretary of the NPP, Justin Kodua Frimpong, admonished the NPP-USA to document its history.
He called on the members to put in their best foot forward to help ensure victory for the NPP in the elections.

Commendation
The Chairperson of NPP-USA, Obaa Yaa Amponsah Frimpong, expressed gratitude to the Vice President and all the other party leaders who joined them in their anniversary celebration.
