Council of State: E.T Mensah, Andani and Ras Mubarak file to contest
Enoch Tei Mensah, Alhassan Andani and Ras Mubarak are among candidates who have filed to contest for slots to serve on the Council of State.
Enoch Tei Mensah, former Member of Parliament (MP) for Ningo Prampram and former Minister of Youth and Sports in the Rawlings administration will come face to face with Nii Kotei Dzani, the outgone representative of the Greater Accra Region, for the region.
Alhassan Andani, former CEO of Stanbic Bank and Ras Mubarak, immediate past MP for Kumbungu, are vying with four others to represent the Northern Region.
Kojo Agyenim Boateng, journalist; immediate past member of the council representing Bono Region; the Akrofosohene, Nana Owusu Achiaw Brempong, immediate past member representing the Ashanti Region and Eunice Jacqueline Buah, a businesswoman, who is seeking re-election for the Western regional slot.
In all, 102 candidates from 16 regions had filed to contest the regional slots of the Council of State on 12 February 2021 at the close of nominations on 4 February 2021.
