Consultative dialogue on small-scale mining

President Akufo-Addo, on Wednesday April 14, attended the maiden Consultative Dialogue on Small-Scale Mining, organized by the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources.

It was held on the theme “Sustainable Small-Scale Mining for National Development”.

The President, in his address, called for a national conversation to address the challenge of illegal small scale mining. He said mining, in itself was good but it must be done in accordance to accepted regulations and safe practice so as to protect the environment.
