Delta Air Lines resumes non-stop flights from Accra to Atlanta

Travellers between Ghana and the United States can now enjoy a direct connection, as Delta Air Lines commenced non-stop flights from Accra to Atlanta on Monday, December 1, 2025.
The announcement was made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, in a Facebook post on Tuesday, December 2, 2025.
“I am excited about the reintroduction of Delta Air Lines’ non-stop flight from Accra to Atlanta, which commenced operations yesterday,” the Minister said, describing the development as a major boost for travel convenience.
Minister Ablakwa noted that Ghana also applauds Air Transat of Canada for initiating a historic non-stop flight from Accra to Canada, set to begin operations on June 17, 2026.
“These refreshing developments will accelerate our economic diplomacy objectives, boost trade and tourism, and offer value and convenience mainly to Ghanaian travellers,” he added.
The non-stop service is expected to strengthen bilateral ties, facilitate business engagements, and enhance tourism opportunities between Ghana, the United States, and Canada.
