Miss Tourism Ghana marks 16th edition, promoting unity and cultural heritage

The 16th edition of Miss Tourism Ghana was successfully held in Accra, celebrating culture, unity, and youth empowerment under the theme: “Tourism, the Heart of Ghana, Women Shaping a Sustainable Ghana and Bridging the Divide: A United Future for All Africans.”

Speaking to the press, Madam Delphine Brew-Hammond, Director of Events and Operations for Miss Tourism Ghana, emphasised that this year’s edition is focused on discovering and nurturing the potential of young women across the country with the support of Sharon Ghana.

“In this edition, none of the contestants represent only their individual regions; they are all proudly raising the flag of Ghana,” she remarked, highlighting the initiative’s emphasis on national unity over regional identity.

Madam Brew-Hammond also announced an upcoming event titled “Regional Costume,” which will showcase the diverse cultural backgrounds of each contestant. She called on families, friends, and the general public to support the participants as they celebrate Ghana’s rich heritage.

Looking to the future, she expressed her hope that the contestants will evolve into impactful women capable of representing Ghana on the global stage. She also appealed for broader collaboration and support from corporate partners, civil society, and government stakeholders to further empower the initiative.

The Miss Tourism Ghana platform continues to position itself as a beacon for cultural promotion, national pride, and youth development through tourism.
