Lady Julia Calls On Seychelles President
Lady Julia Osei Tutu, wife of Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, on Monday, January 20, paid a courtesy call on Seychelles President Wavel Ramkalawan at State House in the capital Victoria.
The visit followed an invitation extended by President Ramkalawan during his trip to Kumasi in November 2023.
Bilateral relations
Discussions during their meeting focused on enhancing bilateral relations, with particular emphasis on cultural exchange and the preservation of historical ties between Seychelles and the Ashanti Kingdom.
Environmental conservation
Lady Julia praised Seychelles’ environmental conservation efforts, highlighting them as a model for sustainable development.
As part of her visit, she officiated at a ceremony where 100 books were donated to the National Library by Nana Kwasi Boatin, a gesture symbolizing the deepening cultural connection between the two nations.
