Mahama denies having a hand in attack on Otumfuo’s convoy at Techiman

Former President John Dramani Mahama has denied having a hand in the attack on some subjects of the Asantehene in Techiman in the Bono East Region.

On Monday, December 2, 2024, the subjects who accompanied the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II to Nkoranza for the burial rites of the late queen mother of the area, came under attack at Techiman while returning to Kumasi.
The VIP buses in which they were traveling were dented while, some of the occupants were injured.

While paying a courtesy call on the Asantehene at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi on Tuesday , December 3, John Mahama said he had heard allegations that he was behind the attacks.
But, he denied the allegation, accusing his political opponents of spreading the false information.
