Well Done, Napo

In today’s geo-political environment, it takes much more than knowledge to become an outstanding leader.
One authority on leadership argues that, moral, and sacrificial leadership must be evident in performance.
Thus, a true leader must have faith in the unlimited capacities of man, and be loyal, enthusiastic, and absolutely honest.

Energy Minister, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh fits well into these qualities, a development that has contributed to the strides made by the Akufo-Addo government over the past seven-and-half years.

Education and Energy are two critical areas of national development, and the President must have had good reason for sending Dr. Prempeh popularly known as Napo to the two ministries.

As the first Minister of Education in the Akufo-Addo’s administration, Dr. Prempeh, a medical doctor by profession, was given the task to lead the implementation of the free SHS policy, which he did to perfection.

The positive impact free SHS had on the lives of Ghanaians, especially the ordinary people, played a major role in the victory of the NPP in the 2020 general elections.

Although free SHS will still be a determining factor in the 2024 elections, electricity will be the key this time,
This is why The Thunder believes that what Dr. Prempeh is doing with his “dum sie sie “ to fix the challenges in the power sector is very essential.

We can only encourage Ghanaians to give him all the support to bring the needed sanity into the sector.
Every ministry Napo goes helps the NPP to win elections. Therefore, if the rank and file of the party says Dr. Bawumia should choose him as his running mate, it is in the right direction.
