U-20 AFCON: ‘We are ready for Morocco game’ – Karim Zito
Head Coach of Ghana’s Under-20 side, Karim Zito believes the team is adequately prepared for their Group C to tie against Morocco later today in the ongoing CAF U-20 Championships in Mauritania.
Both teams are tied on three points after winning their opening group matches on Wednesday and victory for either side will see them progress to the quarter-finals of the competition.
Ghana beat Tanzania 4-0 while Morocco were 1-0 winners over the Gambia.
Zito says though both countries have similar playing styles, he is confident the Black Satellites are ready to face the tough task ahead.
“I think it will be an interesting game because we are coming in as Champions of West Africa B and they are champions of their zone as well. We all want to win and confirm qualification so it will be tough. But we are ready for them. Coach Zito told the press at a pre-match conference.
“Football is football and we all have unique styles of play but Morocco plays quite similarly to us.I study the game based on how the opponent sets up and how they approach the game. So once I see their team tomorrow I will know how to position my team.
“It will be a very crucial match and we know winning the game will depend highly on taking our chances in the game”, he said.
The game will be played at the Stade Municipal Nouadhibou and is scheduled to kick off at 7pm Ghana time.
