Massive endorsement awaits Bawumia in Ashanti Region as he begins campaign tour July 6
Ashanti Region, the stronghold of the New Patriotic Party ( NPP) is gearing up for a 11-day campaign tour of the Vice President, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, beginning Thursday, July 6.
Dr Bawumia is in pole position to claim the flag bearer ticket of the ruling party for the 2024 general elections, and Ashanti votes are crucial in attaining that goal.
First day
Dr Bawumia will start his tour on Thursday with the opening of the DMB Ashanti Regional Campaign office at 9 a.m. to be followed by a meeting with delegates of the Subin constituency at the Prempeh Assembly Hall at noon.
He would then touch base at the Manhyia North constituency for a meeting with delegates at the Yenyawoso Presby School at 1 p.m. before moving to the Suame constituency at 2:30 p.m. for a meeting with delegates at the Promising Star Breman UGC.
Dr Bawumia will end the day with a meeting with delegates of the Manhyia South constituency at Ash Town CAC at 4 p.m.
Massive support
The Thunder gathered that the region is ready to show massive support to the Vice President during his tour to signify that he remains the best bet to lead the NPP to break the 8-year election cycle of the 4th Republic.
