Stand Firm, Announce Your Running Mate – Coka appeals to Dr Bawumia
A leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti Region, Odeneho Kwaku Appiah, popularly known as Coka, has appealed to Dr Mahamudu Bawumia to announce his running mate sooner than later to save the party from further troubles ahead of the December 7 general elections.
And in choosing the running mate, Coka urged the NPP flagbearer to go for someone who is popular and has changed the lives of others, to add more votes to the flagbearer.
Ashanti behind popular name
In a post on Facebook last Friday, Coka, a former Afigya-Kwabre South Constituency Chairman of the NPP, said majority of the people of Ashanti Region are united behind one name as running mate of Dr Bawumia. Although he did not mention that popular name, Coka added, “ Dr Bawumia, I can boldly tell you that an available research that l am privy to indicate that out of the 16 regional ministers, only 1 is uncomfortable with the popular candidate. Majority MPs, only 5 are uncomfortable ,16 Regional chairmen, only 1 is uncomfortable and 275 constituency chairmen, only 9 are uncomfortable.”

Whoever Dr Bawumia selects as his running mate, Ghanaians will talk about it, being negatively or positively. Even Jesus Christ, they criticized him when he was doing good to mankind. DMB please announce your running mate sooner than later to save NPP. Now some party people cannot sleep or visit each other to talk about party issues for fear of being tagged as belonging to one running mate camp or the other.
His Excellency, Dr Bawumia, please ask your boss, Nana Akufo Addo when it was time for him to select his running mate, if he had listened to some people in and out of NPP, could we have had digitalization and many other achievements spearheaded by DMB office everywhere in Ghana by now? He stood on his grounds and justified why he wanted Dr Bawumia to partner him.
People will suggest others for their personal interest but you should remember that your running mate is about you.
The only person you need is someone who is popular and has changed the lives of others to add more votes to yours, nothing more, nothing less. Democracy is about numbers. When you visit social media, market places, churches, when you go to funeral grounds and ask whose name they have been hearing for funeral donations and also ask those around you, it will inform you that the people in Ashanti Region are united behind one name.
Dr Bawumia I can boldly tell you that an available research that l am privy to indicate that out of the 16 regional ministers, only 1 is uncomfortable with the popular candidate. Majority MPs, only 5 are uncomfortable,16 Regional chairmen, only 1 is uncomfortable and 275 constituency chairmen, only 9 are uncomfortable.
Those with eyes will see, those with pen know and those with ears will hear. God bless NPP, God bless Ghana.
