We are tired of Wontumi’s aides – Ashanti NPP Youth organizer laments negative acts

“We are sick and tired of what aides of the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the NPP, Bernard Antwi Boasiako aka Chairman Wontumi are doing in the region, “ the regional youth organizer of the party, Raphael Sarfo Patrick, has said.

Mentioning Andy Owusu, a special aide to the regional chairman, and Paul Yandoh, the regional communications officer, he said the two persons have arrogated to themselves some authority, and have been creating confusion in the party , which must be checked as the general elections approach.

Speaking on Kumasi- based Sompa fm/tv on Saturday, March 16, 2024, Sarfo Patrick, popularly known as Ralph alleged that sometimes Andy do things without the knowledge of the regional chairman.
“In the end it is the NPP that will suffer, “ he added.

Tom Tom matter
Touching on the matter involving the Manhyia South Constituency Chairman of the NPP, Richard Adjei Mensah Ofori Atta, popularly known as Tom Tom, Ralph said the two aides, who he described as “wicked and dangerous “ were the persons creating confusion with the matter.

The two aides, he said, are behind the so-called invitation letter to the Manhyia South chairman to appear before a non-existent regional disciplinary committee to answer allegations of misconduct.

Party constitution
In the first place, Ralph said there has not been any regional executive committee meeting that took a decision to haul Tom Tom before a disciplinary committee. Again, he said, the NPP in the region has no functional disciplinary committee for it to sit on the matter . “As a member of the regional executives, I am not aware of any disciplinary proceedings against the Manhyia South Constituency chairman,” he stated.

Law
Emphasizing that he has no problem with a party member being taken through the disciplinary process , he added, “that should be done in line with the laws of the party. If Tom Tom has done something wrong, let’s use the lawful channel to invite him. The last meeting we held, we did not discuss any issue about Chairman Tom Tom.”
