Post-Conflict Revival: Gov’t Sets Up GH₵1 Billion Bawku Development Fund

The government is to establish a GH₵ 1 billion Bawku Revitalisation Fund aimed at reviving socio-economic development in the area within a three-year period.
This fund, which comes after the successful mediation of the longstanding chieftaincy dispute that has affected the region, will be disbursed between 2026 and 2028.
A statement issued by the Presidency on Wednesday, December 17, said President John Dramani Mahama directed Finance Minister Dr. Ato Forson to set up the fund.
