Otumfuo Leads Akwasidae Celebrations in Majestic Style

Asanteman celebrated its fifth Akwasidae Festival of the year at the Manhyia Palace on Sunday, July 6, 2025.

As custom demands, Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, was the chief celebrant for the day, receiving homage from his subjects and well-wishers.
The festival showcased the same grandeur as previous editions, with the fontomfrom rhythm and dance taking center stage.

Attendees included traditional leaders, royalty, members of the Ashanti Regional Security Council (REGSEC), the Asante Students Union (ASU), and many others.
