Otumfuo Is My God On Earth – Buipewura Jinapor Declares

Buipewura Abdulai Jinapor II has described Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II as his “god on earth.”
Paying a courtesy call on the Asante King at the Manhyia Palace in Kumasi on February 26, the Paramount Chief of the Buipe Traditional Area in the Savannah Region recounted the significant support Otumfuo had provided him over the years.
He expressed his gratitude to Otumfuo for the encouragement he received from him during his campaign for the Vice Presidency of the National House of Chiefs. “Before entering the race, I came to you one night to inform you about my objective. It was a very competitive election for me, as I was the only aspirant from the northern part of the country. You encouraged me and assured me that I would be victorious. I garnered 54 out of the total 73 votes cast. Your blessings and encouragement have brought me this far, and I needed to express my appreciation,” Buipewura explained.
“Otumfuo, you are my god on earth. I will always be grateful to you,” he added.
Support
According to Buipewura Jinapor, many people may not be aware of the incredible support Otumfuo has provided him. He noted that Otumfuo has opened his doors to him unconditionally.
Near Deskinment
Buipewura also recounted how Otumfuo intervened to prevent his potential deskinment, an act for which he will always be thankful. “You have opened the doors of your home to me at all times. What many do not know is that I was almost deskinned some time ago, but after seeking your intervention, Nana assured me that everything would be alright,” he revealed.
He prayed for God to grant Otumfuo long life and good health so that he could continue to serve his people and Ghana. “I brought my Imam here to pray for you. My earnest wish is for you to live long so that Ghana continues to benefit from your presence,” he said. He was accompanied by several members of the Buipe Traditional Council.
Abilities
Otumfuo expressed his confidence in Buipewura’s ability to succeed as the Vice President of the National House of Chiefs. “Prior to the election, you came here to inform me, and by the power of God, you emerged victorious. I know you will deliver satisfactorily,” the King stated.
