NPP ‘World Bank’ Ashanti Region To Host Outdooring Of Running Mate

Ashanti Region, the stronghold of the NPP, will host the official outdooring of the running mate of the party’s flagbearer, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.

The National Organiser of the party, Henry Nana Boakye, popularly known as Nana B, who made this known in a Facebook post Tuesday (July 2) evening, did not give further details. “Ashanti Region to host the official outdooring ceremony of the running mate to the next President, H.E. Bawumia,“ his short message read.

Background
Dr Bawumia has chosen Energy Minister and MP for Manhyia South, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh as his running mate after a wide consultation within the party circles. The nomination is awaiting confirmation by the National Council tomorrow, which will be followed by the outdooring at a given date.

Reactions
Reacting to Nana B’s post, a number of people welcomed the decision saying, it would further energize the stronghold of the party.

Bossman Akumfi said, “With NAPO it is possible together”.
