NPP has improve lives of cocoa farmers – Napo
Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, the Vice-Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party has reminded Ghanaians that the party’s commitment in the cocoa sector is an indication the NPP care for the development of farmers.
According to him, in 2016, the price of a bag of cocoa was GHS475.00 could purchase only 13 bags of cement, fast forward to 2024, the price of a single bag of cocoa sold at GHS 3,000.00 can now buy 34 bags of cement.
Napo said this simple yet powerful comparison is what the residents of Sikaman and connecting communities in the Akrofuom constituency are using to assess the real impact of NPP policies on their lives.
He added that they have seen the tangible benefits and will vote overwhelmingly for Dr. Bawumia and the NPP in December to ensure further improvements in their livelihoods.
“I also outlined the NPP’s plans to ensure that the people of the constituency benefit directly from the God-given mineral resources in their area,” he stated.
Napo added that these plans emphasize responsible mining practices that safeguard the environment while providing economic benefits for the constituency.
This vision, he said aligns with our broader strategy to regulate and promote environmentally sustainable small-scale mining across the country.
The people of Akrofuom have a long-standing loyalty to the NPP, and “I am confident that they will once again deliver a resounding victory for Dr. Bawumia. They will also ensure the re-election of Alex Blankson to Parliament on the NPP’s ticket.”
