New Minority Leader calls for calm promising to unite caucus in Parliament
The newly appointed Minority Leader in Parliament, Cassiel Ato Forson has called on National Democratic Congress, NDC, supporters nationwide to remain calm and promised to unite the caucus for the work ahead.
According to him he is honoured and humbled to have been chosen to lead an illustrious and gallant caucus in Parliament”, as he thanked the leadership of the NDC who have placed their trust and confidence in him.
The Minority leader supported by the Minority Chief Whip and the Minority Deputy Whip Kwame Agbodza and Ahmed Ibrahim at his maiden news conference in Parliament on Thursday, 26th January 2023 said, “I am also deeply grateful to colleagues, the rank and file of our party and the Ghanaian people for their profound support and solidarity”.
Dr. Ato Forson revealed that he held fruitful and positive conversations with his senior brother, the outgoing Minority Leader, Haruna Iddrisu.
“… I commend him for his admirable stewardship when he was granted the opportunity by our party’s leadership. As a leader, it will be my duty to represent our collective goals with unwavering dedication and high integrity”.
He added, “I do not doubt that with your support we shall succeed”.
