NAPO shuts down Abossey Okai; Assures spare parts dealers of favourable tax system under Bawumia Presidency
Dr Mahamudu Bawumia’s vision of implementing a flat tax rate for importers will be a game changer for business people, especially, spare parts dealers, his running mate has assured.
According to Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh, a.k.a. Napo, the progressive tax system will bring predictability and stability to the prices of imported goods.
Addressing thousands of business people and NPP supporters at Abossey Okai in the Ablekuma Central Constituency in Accra on Wednesday, September 4, Napo maintained that the initiative aligns with the NPP’s overaching goal of fostering an environment where businesses can thrive.
Enthusiasm
It was scene to behold as the large gathering of party people cheered the NPP running mate on.
Dr Prempeh emphasised that enthusiasm displayed at Abossey Okai underscores the commitment of Dr Bawumia to run a business friendly government.
Acknowledging the crucial role spare parts dealers play in economic development, he said, “Dr Bawumia will fulfil promises he has made to you.”
Tax Amnesty
He reiterated that a Bawumia government will provide a tax amnesty so that businesses start paying taxes on a clean slate.
