NAPO resolves disputes between chiefs and NPP parliamentary candidates in Western Region
Presidential running mate of the NPP, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh has begun resolving differences between some chiefs in the Western Region and parliamentary candidates of the party.
During his post-unveiling tour of the Western Region, the running mate was in the Wassa Amenfi Traditional Area where he broke peace between some of the chiefs and the candidates.
At his unveiling in Kumasi, Dr Opoku Prempeh, widely known as Napo, promised to work hard to address differences among party members, and also bring back those who for various reasons, have left the party.
Engagements
Dr Opoku Prempeh, accompanied by the Western Regional Minister, Kwabena Okyere Darko Mensah, the National Organiser of the NPP, Henry Nana Boakye, and some NPP parliamentary candidates, has so far had engagements with chiefs including the paramount chief of Wassa Amenfi Traditional Area and President of the Western Regional House of Chiefs, Tetrete Okuamoah Sekyim II, the paramount Chief of the Upper Dixcove traditional area, Obrempong Hema Dekyi XIV, Omanhene of Gwira traditional area, Awulae Angamatu-Gyan II, and the Omanhene of Essikado, Nana Kobina Nketsia V.
Message
The message of the running mate centred on the vision of Dr Bawumia and the NPP in the elections campaign.
He said Dr Bawumia’s remains committed in the quest at deepening the inclusivity of traditional authority in national development.
