Napo eulogizes late Theresa Kufuor in Parliament
Energy Minister, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh has eulogized late former First Lady, Theresa Aba Kufuor describing her as a disciplinarian and a devout christian.
Contributing to a statement on the floor of Parliament, ahead of the presentation of the 2024 Budget Statement and Economic Policy on Wednesday, November 15, 2024, Dr Opoku Prempeh who is also the MP for Manhyia South, said as a devout christian who continued to sing in her church choir even as First Lady, Aunty Aba will be dearly missed.
Motherly relationships
The Manhyia South legislator recounted his motherly relationship with Aunty Aba.
He said he stayed with her for the most part of his university life, any time he was in Accra.
Farewell
The Minister used the opportunity to invite friends and well-wishers to join the family to bid her farewell, starting with tonight’s requiem mass at the Christ the King Catholic Church, Cantonments, and Thursday’s State Funeral at the Forecourt of the State House, and the final funeral rites in Kumasi on Saturday.
