Minority Leader accuses govt of empty promises, political witch-hunts

Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin has launched a scathing critique of the current NDC government, accusing them of prioritising propaganda over governance and failing to deliver on promises to the Ghanaian people.

“Mr. Speaker, it is very clear to us that our friends in government today were only interested in propaganda politics,” Afenyo-Markin declared in Parliament on Tuesday.

He alleged that the administration entered office without a coherent plan to address critical issues such as job creation, support for fisherfolk, and assistance for farmers.

The Minority Leader further accused the government of engaging in political persecution, claiming that their primary focus has been to target and arrest political opponents while denying them fundamental human rights.

“They came into office with no clear plans…They only came to persecute, to arrest political opponents and deny them their basic fundamental human rights,” he emphasized.
