Man Arrested After Threatening Afenyo-Markin and Two Others in Widely Shared Video

The Eastern South Regional Police Command has arrested a man identified as Alhaji Abdul Wahab in connection with a viral video in which he allegedly issued death threats against the Minority Leader of Parliament, Alexander Afenyo-Markin and two others.
According to a police statement released on Monday, September 15, the suspect was picked up in Koforidua and has since been cautioned and granted bail.
He is expected to report to the Regional Police Headquarters in Kyebi on Monday, September 15, 2025, to assist further with investigations.
The statement, signed by DSP David Fianko-Okyere of the Public Affairs Unit, assured the public of a fair and transparent investigation and pledged to provide timely updates as the case progresses.
